Why is our Match Challenge running through the 4th of July?
Our mission is to maintain independence and quality of life for our Neighbors on MDI and the surrounding islands, regardless of age or disability. Independence day is the perfect opportunity to share what independence means to us.
We know that many Mainers take pride in their independence, and we want folks to know that being independent doesn't mean going it alone. Knowing when to seek out the resources that you need to thrive only strengthens your independence, it doesn't diminish it.
Island Connections wants to stay a strong organization so that it's there for all of us when we need it, whether it's when we age or simply when life takes an unexpected turn.
