7th Annual Mary Parker Memorial 5kRun, Walk, Wag
Saturday, October 5, 2024
For seven years, Mary served as the Transportation Coordinator for Island Connections before her battle with cancer. This event is a tribute to her bright spirit and commitment to Island Connections' mission, Neighbors, and volunteers.
This race welcomes both runners and walkers, as well as furry companions on a leash.
All proceeds from this event directly support our mission of enhancing independence for older adults and people with disabilities on MDI and surrounding islands.
The Route
Something Old, Something New
This year's race will see some exciting new changes, as well as a return to traditions. We have a new course route that takes participants around Bar Harbor with beautiful views of the ocean along the Shore Path. The course will then finish at Pat's Pizza with a return of the fan-favorite post-race pizza!
